Overview
The Cambridge English Proficiency (CPE) C2 Proficiency, is an English Test for candidates who has the skills to communicate with the fluency and sophistication of a highly competent English speaker. CPE being the highest level qualification of the Cambridge English, ensures that the applicant is a highly competent speaker of the english language. He/She have the required language skills that are required to study or work in a very senior professional or academic environment, e.g. a postgraduate or PhD programme. This examination is considered to be a C2 Proficiency level qualification in English.

Cambridge English, also known as English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) is a department of Cambridge University and conduct English exams such as PET, KET, FCE, CAE, and CPE which is recognised as a proof of the ability to use english around the world by thousands of universities, employers and government ministries for study, work and visas. Cambridge English Proficiency (CPE) Selection Procedure: There are four sections of the CPE test:

Reading and Use of English

Writing
-
Listening
-
Speaking
Cambridge English Proficiency (CPE) Exam Pattern:
The test is held in both modes i.e. in Online as well as Offline. The time duration of the test is about 04 hours. The test is held monthly but not one institute administers both types of tests. The level of the exam is C2 Proficiency.

Educational Criteria: Candidates studying in 12th apply for the test wishing to apply for undergraduate in the US, UK, Canada & other countries

Speaking test is done between two aspirants two examiners examine them out of which the only one participant in the conversation.

1st part is short question-answer between a candidate and an examiner.

2nd part is Visual looking session and discussing it with each candidate.

3rd part is a Long turn of speech and Discussion

Candidates are judged as per their pronunciation, fluency, vocabulary, grammar and interactive communication of the language.

Ques 1. What is the purpose of the CPE test?
Ans. The purpose of the test is to ensure that the applicant is a highly competent speaker of the English language and have the required language skills that are needed to work or study in a very senior professional or academic environment e.g. a postgraduate or PhD programme.
Ques 2. What is the difficulty level of the test?
Ans. The difficulty level of the test is C2 Proficiency so that after acquiring the certificate applicants can apply for the senior professional or academic environment.
Ques 3. Do I have to pass each exam in order to pass the whole examination?
Ans. No. the overall performance is calculated on the basis of average scores achieved in Reading, Writing, Listening and Speaking section. The total weightage of each of the four sections is equal.

Ans. The examination is conducted at designated exam centres.
Ques 5. What is the scoring range for the CPE exam?
Ans. Scores for the CPE test range from 200 to 230.
Ques 6. How long is the Cambridge certificate test valid for?
Ans. There are no such restrictions for Cambridge tests (KET, PET, FCE, CAE and CPE).

It's a definition of different languages levels written by the Council of Europe and is also called 'Proficiency'. Qualifiers of C2 Proficiency are considered as a master in the English language.
Ques 10. Is scoring pattern different for the Use of English section and reading?
Ans. There are two scores shown for these papers in the Statement of Results - one for Reading and one for Use of English. They both are equally important when calculating the overall score.
