The exam is held in two stages:

• Written Exam

• Interview

Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (PGT) Exam Pattern:

Written Exam: It is a Computer based test.The total marks are 180. The total duration of the time is 3 hours. The paper is Objective type (MCQ) and is common for all posts of PGT.

Note:

• Language test is qualifying in nature. 1/3rd of the total marks are the qualifying marks for Language test. Rest of the papers i.e. Paper I to IV are not considered for  evaluation unless candidate clears the Qualifier paper. 

Interview: Applicants qualifying the written exam get selected for Interview round. The applicants invited for the interview in the ratio as decided by Samiti. The final merit list depends on the marks of the Written exam and the Interview.

Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (PGT) Eligibility Criteria:

Age Limit:-  Must not be more than 40 years.

Educational Qualification:-

• Two Year Integrated Post Graduate Course from Regional College of Education of NCERT in the concerned subject with at least 50% marks in aggregate Or

• Masters Degree from a recognized university with at least 50% marks in aggregate in the relevant subject as according to the applied post And

• B.Ed Degree

• Proficiency in Hindi and English medium teaching.

Desirable:-

• Experience in the recognised institute in the concerned subject as TGT.

• Experience of working in a residential school.

• Knowledge of Computer Application.

Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (PGT) Application Process

The application form can be filled in Online mode only. Candidates desirous to apply for the test can apply in Online mode from the official website. Following are the steps to apply that must be followed while filling the form:

• Registration: Candidates are required to visit the website at navodaya.gov.in and register. In this process, some basic information are asked. After providing this information, click on the Register button.

• Verification: Once the registration button is clicked, an email is sent on the provided i.d to verify. The registration process is completed only after verification.

• Application Form Filling: After verification, again login with provided credentials and fill the application form.

• Uploading Documents: In this step, upload the scanned copies of their documents. The candidates must submit all the required documents.

• Payment of application fee: The last step is the payment and to apply successfully, the payment process must be completed. The payment can be made in online mode.

Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (PGT) Admit Card :

The NVS releases the admit cards for the exam in Online mode. The link of the admit cards are sent to the registered emails and mobile numbers of the candidates. The admit card is a mandatory document for the test and the candidate must carry it to the exam center along with an I.D proof such as Driving License, Voter Card, PAN Card, Aadhar Card.
