Recently, Nagpur University has taken a decision regarding re-examination for students who faced hurdles while appearing on the first day for the winter 2020 exams. The number of students is also quite huge, and that is 10,000. However, while making such a big decision, the university ignored those candidates who faced exact issues in the next four days.

According to the statistics given by Nagpur University, despite logging in, due to issues like the low internet connection, electricity failure and others, around 3,491 students failed in submitting their exams papers. Along with all this, there are hundreds of candidates filing complaints related to the timelines. They stated that their examination gets over before the given time, and due to that, they lost the chance of solving several questions.

On different social media platforms, students are firing up this issue and showing up their grievances. Even some of the students also stated despite having power and internet issues; they get the successful submission pop up.

Mr Paula Sable, the director of the Board of Examination and Evaluation (BOEE), gave his statement regarding the same. He also advised the candidates to visit their respective colleges and send their applications to the Nagpur University Examination section. Further talking about the same, the director stated that:

We will compile their information and verify it with our servers. He stated that the servers are having every single detail of the students who logged in. On the basis of the stored information, a genuine list will be created and then it will be presented before the BOEE and NU top brass. Also, he stated that the final decision would only be taken after the successful completion of the examinations.

Further, he added that the studiers who belong to rural areas genuinely face poor internet connection and electricity issues, and this must be taken into consideration. On the 29th of March, there were hundreds of students faced problems while submitting their exam paper. Even several candidates faced issues in logging into the server. Students who faced connectivity issues are now blaming severs of Nagpur University. On the other hand, some students also stated about the premature submission of the examination.

Mr Prafulla Sable, the director of the Board of Examination and Evaluation (BOEE), refuted the allegations and stated that only the engineering students faced such issues and complaints regarding the same, while other stream students are hardly complaining. Also, he stated that it is impossible that they didn’t get the time to solve the answers. The servers don’t have any means to discriminate among the students. It is equal for all. Also, he stated that the engineering students are technically advanced, and also they try to do some experiments with the system and server, and that is why they did not get enough time to solve all the answers.

He further added that the servers’ records auspicious activities as the students tried to take screenshots. Due to this, they get blocked. Also, he stated that in the last examination, the time was extended, but in the next exams, no such facility will be provided.
