The governments of several States and Union Territories are reopening schools with adherence to the COVID safety protocols.

Earlier, the schools across the nation were shut in March last year due to the nationwide lockdown implemented by the central govt to restrict the spread of COVID-19 infection. Most of the schools have directed the students to produce a written consent from their parents permitting them to attend physical classes.
