Ques 2. What is the technical entry scheme in the Indian Army?
Ans: Technical Entry Scheme, as the name suggests, is a technical entry to get into the Indian army at an officer post. TES is more or less like UES and TGC entries of Indian army, but in case of UES and TGC candidates apply for it after doing their engineering from outside; TES is an opportunity for the aspirants to join the technical branch of Indian army after 10+2 but as per the vacancies candidates can join other fields also like infantry, artillery, etc.
Ques 3. How many times does an SSC tech Indian army notification come?
Ans: Twice in a year.
Ques 4. What is the procedure involved in SSC tech entry into the Indian Army?
Ans: SSC Tech is exclusively for BTech/BE holders in specified streams. You have to apply online when the notification comes (which is twice in a year usually in January and September) through the official website. Then the army shortlists the applicants after setting a minimum cut off percentage of engineering degree. If you are shortlisted you are called for SSB interview at any selection center across India. There are two stages -- Stage1 is the screening test which comprises of officers' intelligence test, picture perception, and description test and discussion test. Stage2 is the Psychology tests, group tests, Interviews, and conferences. If you are through, you have to undergo a medical test. When selected as per the merit list you are called for training at Officer Training Academy, Chennai.

Ans: A technical officer is commissioned into Corps of Engineers or Signals or Electrical & Mechanical Engineers (EME). The main resource being men under his command. He is to accomplish duty assigned to him within the allotted time and resources. The tasks assigned depends upon the type of circumstances (normal/war/natural calamity...), organisation (unit/HQ/on deputation to some organisation like DRDO...), and location (peace location like Jaipur/Delhi or field like J&K/North East..). -

Apart from that Officers are also presented many allowances and benefits, e.g. Military Service Pay, Qualification Grant, Flying Allowance, Dearness Allowance, Transport Allowance, Kit Maintenance Allowance, Siachen Allowance, High Altitude Allowance, Children Education Allowance, Uniform Allowance, Free Ration, Medical Facilities, etc.
Ques 8. What happens after filling the application form of the TES Army? What is the expected cutoff for the TES 38th course?
Ans: As soon as you successfully fill your TES 38 application, you will get a roll no.
Then at the end of July or August, you will get your call letter. Indian army has this new system where they are allowing candidates to choose their date for SSB, but not the center.
The cutoff varies!
All the even courses i.e. TES 32,34,36, of January you will have higher cutoff as compared to TES 33, 35, 37, which are called the odd course or July course!
The cut off for TES 36 was 87% PCM
The cut off for TES 37 was 81% COM
This difference is basically because several candidates passing their 12th will be applying for even course. So the expected cutoff may vary anywhere between 82% to 87% or even more.
