The Test of Russian as a Foreign Language (TORFL) is a contemporary test of Russian language for foreign citizens compliant with the best European quality standards. Test of Russian as a Foreign Language (TORFL) Selection Procedure:
The TORFL consists of six levels of proficiency that signify the framework of the European Language Council (A1, A2, B1, B2, C1, C2). Every level includes five modules examining linguistic abilities in

- TUW-Elementary Level:

- TBU - Basic Level
The Basic Level (A2) of the Russian language points out that the pupil can express themselves in real life social settings and the cultural sphere. This level presents an essential basis for any professional exercise or work.
Grammar and Vocabulary: This section includes 110 objective type questions about basic grammar, like conjugation and declension. A vocabulary of about 1300 words is required.

- First Certificate Level (TORFL 1) - Intermediate level

Grammar and Vocabulary: This section includes 165 objective type questions and evaluates the pupil’s grammatical expertise. A 1300 word list is required.

- Second Certification Level (TORFL 2) Advanced Level

This level is necessary to achieve to gain admittance to a graduate study program as a non-humanities major in Russia Institutions.

- Third Certificate Level (TORFL 3) - Proficiency Level
The third level (C1) of the Russian language confirms that the applicant is able to communicate easily and fluently in all areas, carry out scientific research and instruct courses in Russian.
