Aircraft Maintenance Engineering is a 4-years course. These four years are divided into two years of academic and the rest of the two years is for practical training. This course is related to the overhaul, routine check-ups and well being of the aircraft and its passengers. Aspirants must have passed their 12th examination in the stream of Science having Physics and Mathematics subjects. The age of the candidates must be between 16 to 28 years at the time of admission.
The primary objective of the course is to provide safety, security and maintenance of an aircraft. Such kind of job responsibility is to provide security to the passengers. The Engineers are the whole and soul of an aircraft when it is on the ground. AME course provides a high-class job with a handsome salary package. Candidates must not have color blindness and any physical disabilities.
In addition, the entrance exams carry three to four sections which are Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, General Awareness and English for candidates who have passed the 10+2 board exam. There are many recruitment offers in prestigious companies for Aircraft Maintenance Engineers such as - Air India, Indigo, Spice Jet, Go Air, Vistara, Air Asia etc.
