Anthropology is a combination of two words, namely Anthropos which means humans and logy means its study. Therefore, we can say that Anthropology is a study of humans. It deals with the socio-cultural, ecological, biological, and historical study of human growth and development.



Bachelor of Arts (BA) (Hons.) in Anthropology is a three year Under Graduate (UG) course. The aspirants can pursue this course after completing his/her 10+2 education. Candidates who have passed their class 12th board examination from humanities background (or for that sake any background student) can opt for this course.



Moving on, BA (Hons.) in Anthropology is a course that is opted by humanities background learners. Nevertheless, science background pupils are also choosing this course. The reason behind this can be cited from the fact that the course of Physical anthropology involves knowledge of subjects like Biology that form an important part of the science curriculum at the 10+2 level.



Not only this, Graduation in Anthropology offers an aspirant a variety to choose for his/her career. One can choose from areas like research and fieldwork like Epidemiology, Medicine, and Public Health.
