B.Sc Horticulture is a 3-year long course. Like all B.Sc courses, this one too has the semester system of learning. The 3 years' duration is divided into 06 semesters, with each semester lasting a period of 06 months. During each semester, students will have to face separate sets of theoretical subjects as well as lab practical sessions.



10+2 Science stream students with Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects, who have passed the 12th board examination from a recognized board are eligible to pursue this course.



Adding more to it, B.Sc. Horticulture is all about the cultivation of plants, starting from seed related study to scientific study of cultivation, genetics of plants, plant diseases etc. In short, it is all about the application of scientific knowledge in plant cultivation and hence enhances productivity and yield.



Moving on, Job opportunities are available for Graduates in Government as well as Private sector.Job opportunities are available in areas such as Private Plantations, Agricultural Machinery and Equipment Manufacturing firms, Agricultural Products Marketing firms, Ornamental plants and Flowers businesses, Food Production and Technology Industry etc
