Nutritionists and Dietitians are health professionals who create diet-plan for people. Teaching clients about healthy eating is their primary duty. They also aware their clients to stay away from developments in medicines.
However, there is a difference between dietetics and nutritionist. Dietetics focuses on food management. They organize, oversee, and observe the diet for their clients (with medical conditions like Diabetes, Food Allergies, Gastro-Intestinal Disorders, etc.) across hospitals, clinics, health care centers, sports centers or in their own private clinics. Dietitians are responsible for recommending proper food and eating habits. They are also responsible for the health of their patients. Whereas, Nutritionist focuses on the promotion of health through healthy food. They do help people achieve better health by giving the best food choices.
B.Sc Nutrition & Dietetics or Bachelor of Science in Nutrition & Dietetics is an undergraduate nutrition and dietetics course. B.Sc Nutrition & Dietetics study the relationship between the body as well as food. Subjects covered under this degree are chemistry, biochemistry, food science and technology, dairy technology and polymer chemistry etc.
It is a 3-year course. It is a study of food management and also about the promotion of health through healthy food. The minimum eligibility for this course is 10+2. In this course, we come to know that there are many health-conscious people but still, they are facing health issues. There are a number of skills required like he/she should have good communication skills, patience and they are also concerned about the person with whom they are dealing.
The course is very valuable and has a lot of job opportunities.
