Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur (IIT) Kanpur’s Startup Incubation & Innovation Centre (SIIC) has recently joined hands with Yes Bank in order to promote the growth of the startup ecosystem in India.
The collaboration between IIT Kanpur and Yes Bank aims to recognize and offer financial support to startups that they consider innovative. The economic help will be delivered by providing the startups' access to grants. Startups can use this financial help to receive funding from various sources. Yes Bank has a start-up-focused programme titled Yes Head Startup. Startups can use this programme in order to achieve access to financial grants. Yes Bank Head Startup is a full-service banking role for tech or tech-enabled startups.
Country head of branch banking and affluent banking at YES Bank, Dheeraj Sanghi, stated that the chosen startups would have access to our digital infrastructure fueling innovation and partnering in their development.
IIT Kanpur startup plan
SIIC professor-in-charge Anushka Sharma and Vihsal Singh, zonal business head of retail banking at Yes Bank, attended the launch of the startup plan. The two were the authorized signatories of the collaboration agreement.
Speaking of the collaboration, Anushka Sharma said this collaborative approach carries the potential for significant societal influence by generating employment options, promoting economic development, and driving technological improvements that can positively impact diverse sectors of the Indian economy.
