Kotak Education Foundation Introduces Scholarships for Class XI and above Students in Mumbai

A part of the Kotak Mahindra Group- the Kotak Education Foundation (KEF) has recently introduced the Kotak Junior Scholarship program for students in Classes XI and above from economically weak families living in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR). The Kotak Education Foundation will focus on financial aid and the overall education and development of the students in order to support their resumed engagement with education.



Students must come from households with an annual income of less than Rs 3.2 lakh. The scholarship programme is available for students registered in schools affiliated with the Maharashtra state board, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), and the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE).



The scholarship application process is open till June 30, 2023, and can be made online by visiting the official website- kotakeducation.org/kotak-junior-scholarship.



In a statement, the Kotak Education Foundation said the KEF's scholarship wing helped students for over a decade, aiding more than 3,600 students till now. Over 800 alumni have grown as professionals in leading organizations and respected institutions. Kotak Education Foundation will also deliver one-to-one mentoring, career guidance counseling, sessions, support for entrance examination preparation, exposure visits, and home visits.



Kotak Education Foundation Scholarship: Eligibility criteria



The eligibility criteria for Kotak Education Foundation Kotak Junior Scholarship:




  • 85 percent in the Class X SSC, CBSE, or ICSE examination.

  • Admission in Class XI in junior educational institutes in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR).

  • The student's annual family income must be less than Rs 3,20,000 per annum
