The NITI Aayog has opened an application portal for undergraduate and postgraduate students and research scholars registered in recognised educational institutions in India and abroad for their internship schemes.

The candidates can work closely with the verticals/cells/divisions of the NITI Aayog team. The online application link is available for everyone from the first and tenth of every month. Applicants must note that the internship will be an unpaid one.

Eligibility Criteria

• The candidate should be a bona fide student of any recognised institute in India or abroad.


• The UG applicant must have finished the term-end examinations of the 4th semester or 2nd year and should have at least achieved 85% in class 12.


• Postgraduate applicants should have completed their 1st year or 2nd-semester examinations and not have scored less than 70% in graduation.


• The research candidate should have more than 70% in their graduation.

Goals of the internship scheme:

• To authorize the intern to be acquainted with Niti Aayog’s work.


• The interns will get to understand and learn about the functioning of the Government of India (GOI) and actively contribute to policy formation.

Duration of the internship:

The internship will be at least six weeks but will not surpass six months.

Attendance:

The interns must keep a minimum of 75% attendance in order to avail of the experience certificate. If the attendance is less than 75%, there will be no extension for the internship period.
