In a distinguished ceremony organised by the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities at Vigyan Bhavan, New Delhi, President Draupadi Murmu felicitated Prashant Agrawal, the esteemed President of Narayan Seva Sansthan, with the prestigious National Award for 'Best Personality- Empowerment of Differently-abled'.



Agrawal's profound initiatives span a spectrum of contributions, from establishing innovative educational frameworks to vocational rehabilitation centers and providing essential assistive devices, all tailored to uplift the lives of differently-abled students.



Expressing heartfelt gratitude, Agrawal dedicated the award to the resilient beneficiaries of Narayan Seva Sansthan. Since its inception in 1985, the organization has been a beacon of hope, conducting over 445,000 surgeries and extending aid to nearly 40,000 amputees with prosthetic limbs, underscoring an unyielding dedication to humanitarian causes.



Guided by Agrawal's visionary stewardship, the organization has spearheaded comprehensive training programs encompassing vital skills in technology, sewing, and multifaceted rehabilitation initiatives. Additionally, Agrawal's leadership has fostered the evolution of the Differently-abled Sports Academy, elevating national-level competitions and earning accolades within the Guinness Book of World Records.



Honored by the Rajasthan government with the Best Social Worker Award in 2017, Agrawal remains a relentless advocate for empowerment, serving as an inspirational beacon for the differently-abled community and society at large, igniting hope and fostering inclusivity through tireless dedication.



The event was graced by dignitaries including Dr Virendra Kumar, Minister of Social Justice and Empowerment, and notable personalities Ramdas Athawale, Pratima Bhoumik, and A. Narayan Swami, who commended Agrawal's unwavering commitment to empowering differently-abled individuals.
