Samsung India Plans to Hire 1,000 engineers from IITs and Other Top Engineering Institutes
As a part of this initiative, Samsung R&D centres will hire about 200 engineers from leading IITs such as IIT Madras, IIT Hyderabad, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Roorkee, IIT BHU, IIT Kanpur, IIT Guwahati, among others. They have also offered more than 400 Pre Placement Offers (PPOs) to students from IITs and other top institutes.

Samsung India intends to hire 1,000 engineers for its Research and Development (R&D) institutions across India. The company will be hiring for multiple branches across India, including Samsung R&D Institute Bangalore, Delhi, Noida, and Samsung Semiconductor India Research in Bengaluru.



As a part of this initiative, Samsung R&D centres will hire about 200 engineers from leading IITs such as IIT Madras, IIT Hyderabad, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Roorkee, IIT BHU, IIT Kanpur, IIT Guwahati, among others. They have also offered more than 400 Pre Placement Offers (PPOs) to students from IITs and other top institutes.



The students will be hired in several streams, such as:



Computer Science and allied branches (AI/ML/Computer Vision/VLSI, etc.), Electronics, Information Technology, Computing & Software Engineering, Communication Networks, Instrumentation, Embedded Systems, and Mathematics.



The hired students will be joining their jobs in 2023. They will work on new cutting-edge technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Cloud, Machine Learning, Image Processing, Predictive Analysis, Deep learning, IoT, Communication Networks, Connectivity Big Data, Storage Solutions, Business Intelligence, and System on a Chip (SoC).



Sameer Wadhawan, Head of Human Resources, Samsung India, said strengthening its focus on innovation and cutting-edge technology, Samsung’s R&D hubs/centres aim to hire new talent from India’s top engineering institutions who will work on technologies, breakthrough innovations, products, and designs, including India-centric innovations, that enrich people’s lives. He added that this would further our vision of Powering Digital India.
