The University of Sheffield is presenting an exceptional opportunity for international undergraduate students through 75 merit-based scholarships, each valued at £10,000 annually. These scholarships aim to assist students starting their undergraduate programmes in autumn 2024 with their tuition fees.

Applicants interested in these scholarships can access the official university website- sheffield.ac.uk, to submit their applications. The application window opens in late Autumn 2023 and remains available until April 22, 2024, closing at 1 pm. The university plans to announce the successful scholarship recipients on May 15, 2024.

Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for these scholarships, applicants must fulfill certain criteria, including initiating their study programme at the University of Sheffield in autumn 2024 and receiving an offer for a course that is entirely delivered by the University of Sheffield. However, courses such as Medicine (A100/A101) and Dentistry (A200) are exempted from this scholarship.

Eligible candidates must be self-funded for tuition fees, ineligible for sponsorship, and enroll in the first or second year of their undergraduate degree programme at the University of Sheffield. Notably, MArch programmes are categorized as postgraduate taught programmes and thus are ineligible for this undergraduate scholarship, along with others.

It's essential to note that these scholarships are solely intended as a reduction in tuition fees; there is no provision for cash alternatives.

Applicants should highlight their outstanding achievements in educational, voluntary, or extracurricular domains in their applications. They should emphasize how these accomplishments align with their chosen course at the University of Sheffield and their future career aspirations. Additionally, a robust academic background will significantly enhance their application.
