Today, October 29, 2023, the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has begun inviting applications for Assistant Director and other positions. Eligible and interested candidates can register for the posts online by visiting the official website- upsc.gov.in. The deadline to submit applications is November 16, 2023.

Number of Vacancies

According to the official notification, this recruitment drive aims to fill 46 posts within the organisation. Applicants who want to register must cross-check each detail to avoid any mistake.

• Assistant Director: 39 posts


• Specialist Grade III: 7 posts


• Senior Lecturer: 3 posts


• Professor: 1 post

Application Fees

Applicants, except for female candidates, SC, ST, and Persons with Benchmark Disability Candidates who are exempt from the fee, are required to submit a fee of Rs. 25/- (Rupees Twenty-five) only. This fee can be paid via various methods, including:

1. Cash Deposit: Candidates can deposit the fee in cash at any branch of the State Bank of India (SBI).


2. Net Banking: The fee payment can also be made using the net banking facility of any bank.


3. Online Payment: Candidates have the option to make a payment online via Visa, Master, Rupay, Credit, Debit Card, or UPI.

Selection Process

The selection process involves two stages: a recruitment test (RT) and an interview. When candidates are selected based on the Recruitment Test (RT) followed by an interview, it is essential for them to meet a minimum suitability threshold specific to their respective categories during the interview phase.
