4 Karnataka State-aided Varsities Collaborate with US Universities for Higher Education
Agreements occurred between Bangalore City University, Mangalore University, Bangalore University, Commonwealth, and Kutzdown Universities of Pennsylvania. The Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) entered into an agreement with Millersville University.

On January 10, four public universities of Karnataka signed agreements with universities of Pennsylvania, US, for collaboration in higher education.
A statement issued by the minister said the pacts applicable to UG courses were inked in the presence of Karnataka Minister for Higher Education C N Ashwath Narayan at the (SHEC) State Higher Education Council.
It added that Vice-chancellors of all four public universities and delegates of the (PASSHE) Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education were present.
Agreements occurred between Bangalore City University, Mangalore University, Bangalore University, Commonwealth, and Kutzdown Universities of Pennsylvania.
The Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) entered into an agreement with Millersville University.
According to the agreement, Bangalore City University would share knowledge in the fields of English, computer science, sports management, sports psychology, and business administration.
Bangalore University would profit in the areas of geography and geo-information science. This agreement would also allow it to start twinning programmes which would encourage sending students to the universities in the US, the statement read.
Mangalore University will perform in the areas of Business Administration and Strategic Communications. The Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) will profit from geo-information science degree courses.
Narayan said the agreements would also authorize the joint development of research proposals and new programmes.
