The British Council has announced the second edition of 'British Council Scholarships for Women in STEM'. The eligible applicants who wish to register for the STEM scholarships for women can do so through the official website at britishcouncil.org.

The application process has already been started and will continue till March 31, 2022. The applicants are also advised to check the individual university deadlines.

The BC will grant more than a hundred scholarships to women in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) from Asia and the Americas. Out of the total number of scholarships, sixty-five are reserved for STEM scholars from India and other South Asian countries. These scholarships will be awarded under no country-specific cap and on a merit basis.

The shortlisted scholars will be provided the opportunity to obtain a Master's degree or an Early Academic Fellowship across 13 UK universities in programmes such as Data Science, Engineering, Environmental Science, Information Technology, Health Systems, Renewable Energy & Energy Management, and Project Management.

Under the scholarship, the BC will cover monthly stipend, tuition fees, travel costs, visa and health coverage fees, including funding for dependents in case any scholar wishes to travel with their kids.

The eligibility criteria also include women with dependents who wish to apply, with extra support.
