The Canadian Bureau for International Education is delivering an International Education Practitioner Program in collaborating with the Ministry of Advanced Education in Saskatchewan. The Govt of Saskatchewan has launched this one of its kind program to provide international education training.

The training will be provided to the post-secondary education sector, which falls under the new International Education Strategy.

Advanced Education Minister Gene Makowsky informed, "This program builds capacity within the sector to host international students and helps meet commitments in Saskatchewan's Growth Plan by positioning the province as a study destination of choice".

Under the program, the 19 institutions from across the province will come together to learn best practices from the CBIE and each other.

This training program includes three levels: Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced. The program also includes details regarding student recruitment and admission practices, international relations and partnership development practices; international student services and supports; and international student mobility specifically related to Saskatchewan.

CBIE President and CEO Larissa Bezo also applauded the Govt's vision to standardize and professionalize the education sector.
