The Department of School Education & Literacy, Education Ministry will organize the 'Veer Gatha Project'. The Project will be organized from Oct 21 till Nov 20, 2021.
The Ministry of Defence proposed the idea to school students aware of the bravery of the Indian Armed Forces.
The Project will be launched on the MyGov platform for state govt schools and on the CBSE IT platform for CBSE schools.
The Director of CBSE (Academics) Joseph Emmanuel informed that the 'Veer Gatha Project will be launched in both state govt and CBSE affiliated schools. The teachers of the respective schools will support, advise, and encourage students to prepare projects based on the gallantry award winners.
The Project will be launched as a national level competition and the schools will shortlist/ pick the best students in various categories. The best projects will be uploaded for the second level screening on the CBSE website. The entries approved from MyGov and CBSE portals will be shortlisted and combined. The final selection of the combined entries will be done.
Emmanuel also informed that the interaction session of the designated officers from the Army Cantonments, Air Force and Navy with the students has also been proposed.
To spread awareness about the lives and sacrifices of the gallantry award winners, several other online and offline programmes will be conducted, he added.
Emmanuel also added that the detailed information of the Project has also been provided on the website address.
