CloudThat- one of India’s top global organisations that offer Cloud Training & Consulting Services for mid-market and enterprise customers, has declared the launch of a hackathon titled- The Security Hackathon.

The registrations opened on 9th November 2022 and will close on 23rd November 2022. The initiative aims to build a platform for students to reveal their talent in solving general cloud security challenges.

Cloud security, especially cybersecurity, is a vital concern growing worldwide, and it is our shared duty to boost cyber awareness to make the online world safer. By evaluating and upskilling the prospective skill pool in the tech sector, CloudThat intends to empower candidates to be ready for the future.

The 5day hackathon is subcategorised into 3 stages:

Stage 1 – Registration,

Stage 2 – Assessment/Idea Submission

Stage 3 – Presentation of the Proposed Solution & Evaluation.

Everyone can register for the hackathon.

CloudThat wants to build better opportunities for students, freshers, and Azure beginners with an interest in Cloud Security. Applicants do not require to know how to code or have any IT (information technology) background. If they are ready to learn and explore, they are the proper fit for this hackathon.

Currently, several organisations around the globe are confronted with multiple threats and attacks. The most common threats fronted by organisations include browser attacks, phishing attacks, password attacks, malware attacks, ransomware attacks, data theft, distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks, cloud infrastructure attacks, insider threats, and less transparency on cloud data. Participants of this hackathon must propose a solution using Microsoft Azure security services, which should address a minimum of 2 threats noted above.

In addition to delivering internship opportunities with CloudThat, Microsoft Certification, exciting cash prizes, branded goodies, Exam Vouchers, and $100 Azure Platform Credit will also be shared with the prizewinners. The Security Hackathon will be held virtually. Participation can be done individually as well as in groups.
