A US-based Cybersecurity service provider, Cyber Security Works, has launched its 2nd online hackathon - Flag Runner: Chapter 2. The CSW has launched the hackathon for final year Indian college students.

The winner of the hackathon will be awarded Rs 40,000 by the CSW whereas the runner-up will be awarded Rs. 10,000. Along with the prize money, all the winners will also be awarded offer letters to work for the company.

The registration for the online hackathon has started. The hackathon will commence from Sept 15, 2021.

Eligibility Criteria: The students who are in final-year from Computer Science and Engineering streams can register for the hackathon.

Selection Procedure: The competition will consist of 02 rounds which are mentioned below:

  • Qualifier round: This round will include Capture The Flag (CTF) challenge and Python-based Coding challenge.

  • Final round: After successfully completing the qualifier round, the participants will have to complete the final tasks to win the competition.

The participants will have 24 hours to finish each round and submit their task report to CSW. The final result will be declared on Sept 20, 2021.

Aaron Sandeen, the CEO of CSW, informed that the company has over 100 openings for security professionals. This hackathon will be a great opportunity to build a career in the cybersecurity industry, he added.

Cyber Security Works is a US Department of Homeland Security- sponsored CVE Numbering Authority.
