The Directorate of School Education, Jammu organized 'Cyber Jagrookta Diwas' across Jammu Division. The DSE organized a series of activities to educate and aware students of cyber hygiene.
On this occasion, the schools of the Jammu Division organized a series of activities such as virtual meets, webinars, lectures, short movie screening, slogan writing etc.
The faculty members of the schools ensured awareness about the portal for social media handles, reporting of cybercrimes, and resource material provided by the Ministry of Home Affairs on cyber security.
Under the guidance of the Director of the School Education Jammu Dr. Ravi Shankar Sharma, the Counselling Cell DSEJ coordinated the activities in schools.
The written directions have been issued by the DSEJ along with suggestive topics to all the school heads to create mass awareness about cyber safety through 'Cyber Jagrookta Diwas' which is to be observed on the 1st Wednesday of every month.
Earlier, the DSEJ's Counselling Cell held a fortnightly cyber security campaign deliberating all the relevant topics.
The MHA is implementing the 'Indian Cyber Co-ordination Centre' scheme to deal with cybercrimes in a comprehensive and coordinated manner. A National Cybercrime Reporting Portal has also been developed by the Ministry.
