The Delhi University (DU) is ready to create most of India’s G20 presidency to internationalise Indian education. The university plans to organise student exchange programmes, host conclaves, and sign MoUs (memorandum of understanding) with international universities and institutions.

Yogesh Singh, Delhi University (DU), Vice-Chancellor, said that as India takes the presidency of the G20, there are various educational activities we would want to present. He added that we constructed a committee deliberating and working hard toward a plan. We would like to showcase our university.

The Delhi University has formed a 10-member committee to manage and carry out activities and events during the G20 presidency of India. The official informed that the panel was formed on January 25.

Yogesh Singh said we would have student exchange programmes, and MoUs would be signed with different universities. This initiative will help in the internationalisation of Indian education.

One of the members of the committee said that DU is also planning to use this opportunity to boost the varsity's standing at an international level.

He said we began work long before the creation of the committee. In December, students and colleges gave their input. We asked colleges what events they wanted to conduct during the G20. We received their contribution, and several events have already been planned.

Delhi University will carry out student exchange programmes and plans to sign MoUs with various international universities throughout the year. The university will also organise street plays, debate competitions, and essay competitions as part of the events.

The university will focus on international students and their participation in the events. The varsity also plans to invite celebrities from G20 countries to some of these events.

The official said with the support of the nodal office of the G20, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR), we will try to invite foreign dignitaries.
