The Indian team won three medals and an honorable mention at the European Women's Mathematical Science Olympiad (EGMO 2023) on April 13-19, 2023, in Portoro, Slovenia. The team consists of one student from Haryana, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, and Assam. The Indian team won 2 silver medals, 1 bronze medal, and an honorable mention at EGMO 2023.

"This is the first time since 2015 (India's debut year) that two members of the Indian team have won silver medals. The first silver was awarded in 2019 and the second in 2021." Tata Research Institute said in a statement.

The National Board for Higher Mathematics (NBHM) and the Department of Atomic Energy (DAE) are funding the training and selection of EGMO's India team. Aditi Phadke of Nowrosjee Wadia College, Pune led the team with Rohan Goyal as co-leader and was her BSc student at the Chennai Institute of Mathematics (CMI) and an IMO 2021 medalist. The team will return to Mumbai on 20 April 2023.

According to the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research, the team will be honored at a conference that will take place on April 20, 2023, at 11:30 am in HBCSE's main building, Room G2. Next year's EGMO will be held in Georgia. The Olympiad is an international math competition for high school students whose engagement with mathematics goes beyond the regular school curriculum.
