The Choose France Tour 2023, organized by l’Institut Français en Inde (French Institute in India), is gearing up to offer a unique opportunity for Indian students to explore higher education possibilities in France. This initiative also seeks to bolster its ties with India, both culturally and economically.
From October 8 to 15, these education fairs aim to provide comprehensive insights into studying abroad, particularly for Indian high school graduates.
France is taking significant steps to attract Indian students and achieve its goal of welcoming 30,000 Indian students to its educational institutions by 2030. France is extending a generous offer to Indian students who have obtained a master's degree or higher and have completed at least one semester of study in France. These students will be eligible for a five-year Schengen visa. One of the key initiatives is the establishment of International Classes within French universities and colleges in English to make it easier for Indian students.
A highlight of this initiative is the direct interaction it fosters between Indian students and representatives from 48 French universities, Grandes Écoles, and colleges. These institutions offer diverse programs spanning management, engineering, hospitality, humanities, arts, architecture, and design.
Moreover, students can benefit from free counseling sessions conducted by Campus France staff. These sessions cover essential information on scholarships, visa procedures, and the overall student experience in France, making it an invaluable resource for aspiring international students.
Emmanuel Lenain, French Ambassador to India, expressed his enthusiasm for the initiative, highlighting its potential to bring together the remarkable academic talent of Indian students and France's world-class institutes of learning. The French government has set an enterprising goal of welcoming 30,000 Indian students to France by 2030.
