Among the technologies and modules on display, at the 'Future of Work' exhibition ahead of the third G20 Education Working Group meeting are a model preschool education center, vernacular learning-based tech solutions, 3D printed models of various temples with virtual reality experience, drone technicians, and cloud gaming. On Sunday, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan opened the exhibition at the CSIR-Institute of Minerals and Materials Technology (IMMT) here, which will run until April 28. Over 100 exhibitors from India and G2O member countries are displaying their products at the event.

At the exhibition, a unique 'Future of Work' experience zone has also been set up where job seekers can learn about how the future of work will evolve and get a preview of the required advanced technical skills. The zone will demonstrate the use of cutting-edge technology such as holograms and interactive surface tables and walls, which will allow visitors to get ideas for the future of work and see how automation and digitization are changing the way work is done in various sectors. The exhibition highlights the transformations that have occurred as a result of digital innovations, including how disruptive technologies are re-designing occupations and reshaping the world of work.

The exhibition, a one-of-a-kind gathering of technology leaders, innovators, influencers, industry, and academia, also provides a glimpse of modern workplaces, skills, and jobs of the future, and the evolving skilling and employability landscape," Pradhan said at the inauguration. Meta, the social media giant, has themed its stall on 'building a metaverse' with cases featuring Virtual Reality (VR) and startups showcasing VR across industries on skilling in nursing, painting, welding, and workforce. The Indian Knowledge System (IKS), an innovative cell within the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), displayed 3D-printed models of various temples, also virtual and augmented reality experiences. The Media and Entertainment Skill Council has demonstrated "cloud gaming," which officials claim will transform India's gaming landscape.
