Indian Institute of Management Sirmaur (IIM Sirmaur) has recently collaborated with the University of Bordeaux and the University of Paris, France, in order to introduce two new executive MBA programmes for the current academic year- 2023. These are the general management programmes and the digital transformation and analytics programme.

The curriculum for two executive MBA courses will be launched on the basis of a case-based teaching approach. Students will have the opportunity to attend classes in hybrid mode also. The official statement read that this will include regular online lessons and a personal contact programme (PCP) at frequent intervals on campus. One of the PCPs will be held at partnering universities in France.

The syllabus for the first and second terms will contain marketing, accounting, organisational behaviour (OB), finance, strategy, and human resources (HR), operations management, management information systems (MIS), and quantitative methods. In the fourth and fifth terms, students will need to choose electives. The university also disclosed that industry professionals would take some lessons to give practical and strategic understanding to the participants.

Those students who finish two years of mandated coursework will get an executive MBA degree, while those who complete one year will receive a postgraduate diploma.

Speaking on the collaboration of the Indian Institute of Management Sirmaur with French Universities, Prafulla Agnihotri, director of IIM Sirmaur, said we acknowledge that our cooperation with these reputed universities is a significant effort towards delivering a truly global and transformative learning experience for our participants.

This partnership is based on an earlier agreement, dated November 11, 2022, when IIMS approved partnering with the Institute of International Education (IIE) Consortium of Universities, France, to introduce a dual degree MBA programme.
