The Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi will organize a DIY Summer Boot Camp for high school students. The Camp i.e. 'Change.Makers' will be organized for the students of Class 11 and Class 12 so that they will be able to use the facilities of the institute to transform their ideas into reality.



The Boot Camp will be non-residential and will be conducted from May 23 to June 24.



The Camp will start with on-the-job rapid prototype-based training in digital fabrication methods. The training will be scheduled at a DIY facility at IIT Delhi, the Makerspace. After the completion of the training, the students will continue to use the IIT Delhi facilities till the conclusion of the Camp to fabricate projects addressing some impactful societal problems.



The participants will be asked to build a project that includes building an electro-mechanical prototype for the issue at hand and it can range from building a medical device for the visually impaired to an air pollution monitor to smart furniture etc.



The Coordinator of ChangeMakers summer boot camp at IIT Delhi Jay Dhariwal said, "The summer boot camp will provide R&D facilities and mentorship to selected students committed to making their impactful products and solutions reach closer to implementation".
