The upcoming horizon holds a promising event as the Indian Institute of Technology, Jammu (IIT Jammu), joins hands with the Army, educational institutions, and businesses to host a dynamic two-day northern technology symposium. Scheduled from September 11 to 13, this symposium aims to unfold at the picturesque Jagti campus in Jammu.

Envisioned as a collaborative endeavor, this symposium is a result of the partnership between IIT Jammu and the Society of Indian Defence Manufacturers (SIDM), operating under the Confederation of Indian Industries (CII). The underlying mission is to bridge the gap that often exists between the needs of the Indian Army and the potential resources available within academia and industry.

Since its establishment in 2017, the SIDM has played a pivotal role in fostering and nurturing India's defense industry.
