The Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur (IIT Kanpur) organised a seven-day hands-on training programme on Advanced Characterization Techniques from January 16 to January 22, 2023.

The seven-day-long programme helped Ph.D. scholars and faculty of tier 2 and 3 universities to improve their knowledge of research & development through hands-on training on state-of-the-art equipment available at IIT Kanpur.

The programme was part of the Department of Science and Technology (DST) sponsored Synergistic Training Programme Utilizing the Scientific and Technological Infrastructure (STUTI) and was conducted in association with Amity University.

During the seven days of the programme, participants obtained lab demonstrations, insightful lessons, detailed seminars, and interactive sessions.

In the inauguration ceremony, Dean of Research and Development, IIT Kanpur, Professor A R Harish, said this programme would enable participants to get familiar with sophisticated scientific instruments.
