Indian Schools Encourages to Participate in World’s Best School Prizes 2023

As the applications for World’s Best School Prizes 2023 have opened this week, excellent Indian schools are being encouraged to participate in the competition.



The new prize of USD 250,000, launched last year, honors schools worldwide for their significant role in contributing to society’s progress, particularly in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.



The organisers indicate that more schools in India were shortlisted for the inaugural awards than any other country, with New Delhi making the leading ten shortlist for the World’s Best School Prize for Innovation 2022.



Founder of Uk-headquartered T4 Education, Vikas Pota, said we founded the World’s Best School Prizes to build the conversations that lead to enduring change.



He said conversations between educators learning from one another’s solutions and conversations in the halls and corridors of power where authorities must sit up and hear those on the front.

These categories were founded by the digital media platform T4 Education in collaboration with Accenture and American Express.



They are conceptualised as a standard solution to help construct systemic transformation and deliver inspirational schools a global platform, permitting them to share their best practices and help others repeat their innovative ideas.



CEO of Teach for India, Shaheen Mistri, said Indian schools must take a step forward and register for the most prestigious global education prize so their tireless work can achieve the honor and support it deserves.



These prizes have truly put India’s education society on the map. Our education system faces many challenges, but by bringing together our excellent schools, we can work towards transforming education.



The winners will be declared in October 2023, when the USD 250,000 will be shared equally among the winners of the five prizes, with each obtaining a reward of USD 50,000.



The shortlisted schools will display or share their best approach via virtual seminars and showcase their expertise via School Transformation Toolkits, with step-by-step instructions on how others can follow their innovative measures to help enhance education everywhere.



The awards are open to all legally registered schools that train students in compulsory schooling with their respective Ministry of Education or government regulatory authority, including kindergarten, early childhood centres, online schools, and primary and secondary schools. They can register to compete for next year’s prizes by the March 15 deadline at the official website- worldsbestschool.org.
