(JMI)- Jamia Millia Islamia's centre for innovation and entrepreneurship, with its student body, conducted an entrepreneurship development programme (EDP) in order to celebrate startup India innovation week.
The entrepreneurship development programme aims to foster entrepreneurship, startup, and innovation culture on the campus and to encourage developing entrepreneurs.
The newly launched programme is in line with prime minister Narendra Modi's to promote entrepreneurship and innovation by involving the startup founders and up-and-coming entrepreneurs at the Jamia Millia Islamia campus. MSME, DGM, Javed Ahmad Siddiqui, and Job Hai, growth head Dhruv Yadav, will attend the event.
EDP started with Yadav sharing his journey and encouraging students to confront challenges that will occur on the path of entrepreneurship. Javed Ahmad Siddiqui shared various schemes for MSMEs and startups running under the umbrella of SIDBI and Mudra.
In addition to this, the institution also scheduled a startup founder meeting. The event witnessed participants from over 20 startups and over 30 entrepreneurs. The guest speaker for the event, Deloitte- strategy consultant Fuzail Ahmad, discussed critical points, shared his insights with students, and promised to be in touch with the students to help them achieve success in their entrepreneurship journey.
A press statement by JMI said the centre vows to keep organising such events to encourage and foster the startup and innovation culture in and around the university campus and to form the Jamia community.
