NIMH (National Institute of Mental Health) is organizing a live event on August 11, 2022, to groupthink about mental health problems among the youth. The issues relating to mental health are common these days. The plurality of our nation's youth is experiencing grown stress and several mental health challenges such as panic attacks, anxiety attacks, depression, etc. Some children have been enormously affected by these issues than others.
Recent research has shown that children from minorities and disproportionate communities hardest crashed by the pandemic likely feel the most significant impacts. The incremental influences of these disturbing and stressful experiences, especially if blended with other damaging childhood experiences, can deliberately affect a person's mental health.
The National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) is conducting a Facebook Live event to discuss the nation's youth mental health crisis as children prepare to return to school during these challenging times. In the event, Shelli Avenevoli, Ph.D., NIMH Deputy Director, will cover essential topics such as the effects of technology and the pandemic on the developing brain, everything research says about supporting the mental health of current and future youth generations, and the alarming rate of youth suicide.
There is no registration required to attend the event. The event is live and free of cost. Interested people can visit the NIMH's Facebook page. There is no need for a Facebook account to attend the event, but it is required if you want to ask questions.
