To aggregate, verify and deliver the EdTech solutions directly to the students and to modernize the online learning future in India, the Ministry of Education will be launching the National Educational Alliance For Technology also known as NEAT 2.0 through its implementing agency AICTE (All India Council for Technical Education) on Feb 16.

Several well-known personalities will be attending the event including the Minister of Education Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank, Chairman of AICTE Prof Anil D Sahasrabudhe, Vice Chairman of AICTE Prof M P Poonia, Member Secretary of AICTE Prof Rajive Kumar, and CCO NEAT, AICTE Buddha Chandrasekhar.

Professor Anil D Sahasrabudhe informed that the aim of the National Education Policy 2020 is to achieve a student-centered learning approach that NEAT promotes via categorization and evaluation of personalized learning models to meet the requirements of every student in the country.

Member Secretary of AICTE Prof Rajive Kumar said, "The usage of technology in the educational sector is inevitable and it will reshape the way in which people learned in the past. The usage of the NEAT platform will enhance their skill and employability opportunities".

In the NEAT 1.0 portal, over 02 lakh students registered, as notified by Prof Sahasrabudhe.

NEAT provides a common platform to many EdTech companies for a wider reach across the nation. During the corona lockdown, free of cost courses were being offered and over 64940 students took the benefit of the opportunity.
