The All India Council for Technical Education in partnership with the University Grants Commission is organizing a national-level Crossword Contest. The National Inter-college Crossword Contest 2022 (NICE-22) will be organized for students of higher education. The NICE-22 contest is scheduled to be held between March and August months in the current year.
The interested students who wish to participate in the NICE-22 can register through the official website at nice.crypticsingh.com.
This contest will be conducted in a hybrid (offline-online) mode.
The objective of the contest is to enhance the skills of students in an interesting and fun manner. This crossword contest will aim at stimulating problem-solving attitude, enhancing logical reasoning, decision making and other cognitive skills among students.
Under the contest, a student/ institutional round will be conducted in an online mode. A total of five offline zonal rounds will be conducted for North, East, South, West, and Northeast, and an offline national round will be conducted in New Delhi.
The first round will be open for all students from colleges/ institutes and will be played individually. It will include solving crossword clues in online mode for 04 successive Sundays, commencing from April 03, 2022. After the 4th Sunday round which will be held on April 24, 2022, the top two participants from each institute will be selected to form the institutions' teams for the next offline rounds.
To familiarise the participants with the format of the contest, a practice round will also be scheduled on April 02, 2022.
