On Friday, PM Narendra Modi interacted with students, teachers, and parents on the upcoming board examinations in 2023. Pariksha Pe Charcha 2023 is an annual event in which the PM addresses questions about time management, stress, and anxiety during board examinations.
The sixth edition of Pariksha Pe Charcha, led by the Ministry of Education, is carried out in a town hall format at the Talkatora Stadium in New Delhi. Students of classes IX to XII, parents and selected teachers who registered for participation will be attending the event. This year, about 38 lakh students have enrolled for Pariksha Pe Charcha.
Recently, Prime Minister Narendra Modi shared a repository of mantras and exercises with students to help them defeat exam stress as a part of Pariksha Pe Charcha. The website hosts videos of the PM, an overview of the concepts, and graphics that concisely capture the message.
The Pariksha Pe Charcha 2023 event was streamed live in all schools across the country. This year, more than 38 lakh students, parents, and teachers registered for Pariksha Pe Charcha double what it was in 2022. Students from different countries registered for the event.
Themes for Pariksha Pe Charcha
This year, students need to showcase their creativity around the mentioned topics:
- Our Culture is our pride
- Know your freedom fighters
- My Book My Inspiration
- My Life, My Health
- Save the Environment for future generations
- My Startup Dream
- Why is staying healthy so important? What do you do to stay in good health?
- STEM Education/ Education without Boundaries
- Toys and Games for Learning in Schools
Tips for parents given by PM Modi
Apart from students, the prime minister suggested the parents about exams and how to deal with the students:
- -Parents should not set expectations to maintain their social standing in society.
- -Parents should not sense an inferiority complex if their children score less than predicted marks.
- -Do not restrict students or try to contain them
- -Let the students find their own path
- -Teach them that sky is the limitation and let them fly
- -Lookout for any changes in the student's behaviour
During the event, Modi said you should not restrict the students and place boundaries on them. Parents should monitor their behaviour and notice if there is a change. Check if they are quieter than regular or not talking at all. Parents and teachers should be alert if there are any signs.
During the 6th edition of Pariksha Pe Charcha 2023, PM Modi reiterated that examinations are not the end of a student's life. They should not succumb to the exam pressure. Take it up as a challenge and concentrate on becoming better.
