Robotics Competition For Delhi Govt Schools To Start Tomorrow

The Directorate of Education (DoE) has released a circular stating that a unique Robotics Competition for Delhi school students will start on Dec 16. The aim of the competition is to nurture excellence in this stream among students since the state government has been continuously emphasizing educational opportunities to learn AI (Artificial Intelligence).



The DoE will organize an event at BR Ambedkar School of Specialised Excellence at Surajmal Vihar on Dec 16 to kick off the competition. The competition will be open for all Delhi schools from December 2022 to June 2023.



The circular issued by DoE also added, "Robotics has emerged as a promising field in Education and NEP 2020 has given special emphasis on educational opportunities to learn Robotics and Artificial Intelligence. A programme is to be organized to launch Delhi Robotics League at Dr. B R Ambedkar SOSE, Surajmal Vihar on December 16".



The Directorate of Education, through its website, will also be live streaming the launch of the event to broadcast it in all government and government-aided schools. Private schools will also be provided the access to live streams.



As per the circular, the responsibility to make the necessary arrangements to view the aforementioned streaming will lie with the heads of the concerned schools. "All students and teachers of the morning shift will view the live streaming at schools, evening shift students will have access to the live streaming of the programme at their home," added the circular.
