The Scheme for Mentoring Young Authors Under India@75 Project has been announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and is being implemented by the Education Ministry of India across the nation.



The Indian national children belonging to the age group of 08-18 years are eligible to take part in the scheme. The interested children can write to Director at National Book Trust, India, Ministry of Education, Government of India at director@nbtindia.gov.in.



The selection will be done through the All India National Contest. The covered languages include all 22 official languages of India and English. From all languages, 10 authors each will be selected for Mentorship.



The Mentorship will be held for the duration of 06 to 09 months. The selected young authors will be granted the stipend of Rs. 12000 for one year (Rs. 1000/ month). The first batch will be launched on April 01, 2021.



The outcome of the contest will be the opportunity to write a book that will be published by the National Book Trust, India.
