The Union Ministry of Education is all prepared to conduct the grand finale of Smart India Hackathon 2022 this month. PM Modi will converse with the students on August 25 at 8 pm through video conferencing. The fifth edition will be carried out from August 25 to 29. The Hackathon will have 180 competitors from 30 teams battling on the Chandigarh University campus.

Minister of the state Subhas Sarkar informed that the Union Ministry of Education is all prepared to conduct the grand finale of Smart India Hackathon 2022 this month. Like every year, our honorable Prime Minister Narendra Modi will interconnect with the student participants of the Smart India Hackathon. PM Modi will converse with the students on August 25 at 8 pm through video conferencing. The fifth edition will be carried out from August 25 to 29.
Pro-Chancellor of Chandigarh University, Dr. R S Bawa, added that Smart India Hackathon is one of the world's colossal open innovation models aimed at instilling the culture of product innovation and problem-solving among students. The finale of the Hackathon will be organized at the university from August 25 to 26.
The Hackathon will have 180 competitors from 30 teams battling on the Chandigarh University campus. The university was chosen as one of the 75 institutions by the ministry of education, recognized to participate in Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav celebrations.
The innovation cell of the ministry of education has been holding the Smart India Hackathon (SIH) since 2017 as part of a national drive to give students a forum to address urgent issues facing the administration, departments, organizations, businesses, and other ministries.
The Smart India Hackathon, a national programme, offers students a forum to address the pressing issues facing the executive branch, departments, ministries, businesses, and other organizations. Smart India Hackathon aims to boost the culture of product invention and problem-solving.
SIH has been carried out annually in two versions since 2017. Higher education students can utilize SIH Hardware and Software Editions. To foster an innovative culture and a problem-solving mindset among school students, the Smart India Hackathon-Junior was also developed this year.
