Niti Aayog's Atal Innovation Mission in collaboration with CBSE and ISRO has launched the 'Space Challenge'. The Challenge has been launched for school students across the country.
In this challenge, all the school students, teachers, and mentors from across the nation can participate. The schools associated with Atal Tinkering Labs (ATL) labs and non-ATL schools can also participate.
The ATL Space Challenge 2021 has been successfully launched by the Atal Innovation Mission, Niti Aayog in collaboration with the Central Board of Secondary Education and Indian Space Research Organisation for all school students, informed the statement.
The statement also added that the Challenge has been launched to provide an open and equal platform for the students of Class 06 to Class 12 to help them innovate and solve the problems of the digital age space technology.
The Challenge coordinates with the World Space Week 2021 which will be observed from Oct 04 to Oct 10 each year worldwide. The World Space Week is being observed to celebrate the contributions of space S&T (Science and Technology).
Chintan Vaishnav, Director of AIM Mission, informed that the Challenge aims to enable innovation among school students so that they can create something in the space sector.
Sudhir Kumar, the Director of Capacity Building Programme Office, ISRO, said, "We take pride in collaborating with AIM and CBSE to launch this challenge where students can explore space with creative freedom."
