The Union Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology has launched the Swadeshi Microprocessor Challenge to provide further momentum to 'Atmanirbhar Bharat' initiative by boosting the environment of start-up, research and innovation in the country.



Two Microprocessors, namely Shakti i.e. 32 bit and VEGA i.e. 64 bit, has been developed by IIT Madras and CDAC (Center for Development of Advance Computing) using Open Source Architecture under the auspices of Ministry of Electronics and IT's Microprocessor Development Programme.



The SM Challenge to Innovate Solutions for #Atmanirbhar Bharat has invited students, innovators and start-ups to develop technological products by using these microprocessors. The application process has started from 18 August and the last date to apply is June 2021. The interested candidates can apply from the official website at https://innovate.mygov.in/.
