Team Transcendence, IIM Bangalore Won Rs 4,50,000 at the 7th Samsung EDGE Campus Programme
Team Transcendence presented an unconventional solution for enhancing the adoption of internet of things devices among consumers in India. In addition to the cash prize, they bagged Samsung flagship smartphones and pre-placement opportunities from Samsung.

Team Transcendence from the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIM Bangalore) secured a Rs 4,50,000 cash prize at the seventh edition of Samsung's EDGE campus programme. More than 9,000 students from 27 institutions participated in the programme.



Amrita Singh, Shinde Chaitanya Sharad, and Shreyas S from Team Transcendence, IIM Bangalore, bagged the first prize in the national round. Team Transcendence presented an unconventional solution for enhancing the adoption of (IoT) internet of things devices among consumers in India. In addition to the cash prize, they bagged Samsung flagship smartphones and pre-placement opportunities from Samsung.



Samsung EDGE is a two-month-long programme conducted over three rounds of evaluations.



This year, the programmes saw participation from more than 2,700 teams. The first round includes a presentation of an executive summary after detailed research and creativity from each group. After the evaluation process, one team from each campus is chosen. These teams then are to operate on a case study and submit and give detailed solutions in a regional round.



Nine teams were shortlisted and mentored by Samsung leaders to compete for the top 3 places in the national round.



Team Srujan from the (NID)- National Institute of Design Bangalore bagged second place with a design solution for modern modes of direct communication with consumers using gamification via full-motion video. They got a cash prize of Rs. 3,00,000 and pre-placement interviews with Samsung.



Team GUG from the (IIFT)- Indian Institute of Foreign Trade bagged the third position and offered a solution to allow consumers to experience the connected devices ecosystem through an in-store home model and a Metaverse experience store and received a cash prize of Rs 1,50,000.

We are glad to be back to a physical programme and connect with bright young minds, the leaders of tomorrow. The enthusiasm level to ideate and actively participate across campuses in India this year has been heartwarming.
