According to the media source, OP Jindal Global University has recently signed an agreement with the University of Virginia to facilitate greater student engagement and research opportunities across all its schools and programmes.

Stephen Mull, Vice Provost for Global Affairs at the University of Virginia, said the country is the world's largest democracy with a population greater than the United States, Europe, and Latin America united.

He added that India has brilliant students, entrepreneurs, and scholars who want to partner on some of the world's biggest challenges.

A media release informed that Stepehen Mull is also going to speak at QS-organized India Summit in Goa on Education for Life. The agreement will help universities combine learning, research, and engagement and bring faculty members, students, and alumni together.

A delegation from the University of Virginia will visit the OP Jindal Global University campus in Haryana on February 23, 2023, in order to build on this relationship, it added. OP Jindal Global University Vice Chancellor Raj Kumar said the partnership would provide transformative opportunities for higher education and learning to students in both universities and allow our faculty members to pursue mutual teaching and collaborative research to advance the cause of international education and institution building.

Since 2019, the number of new Indian graduates and professional students learning in the US has skyrocketed by 430%, clearly showing a vast potential for higher Indian enrolments at the University of Virginia, Mull said. The University of Virginia is one of the leading public universities in the United States, established by Thomas Jefferson, the 3rd President of the US.
