Jake Sullivan, the US nationwide safety advisor, has announced the primary cohort of 100 Quad fellows from India, Japan, Australia, and the United States, saying these younger individuals will carry the Quad members nearer.

On Friday, Sullivan stated that today, we are proud to accommodate a group of 100 diverse, interdisciplinary, inspiring, and exceptional students, 25 from per Quad country – who are the next generation of great STEM (Science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) minds.

He added that each country had shown its commitment to improving innovation and collaboration among our four great democracies and an enthusiasm for constructing a better tomorrow for the Indo-Pacific and the world.

In May, the leaders of four countries launched the Quad Fellowship- a first programme designed to build ties among the many subsequent eras of technologists and scientists from the 4 member nations.

The Quad fellowship would sponsor 100 college students – 25 from every Quad nation – India, Japan, Australia, and the United States yearly to seek master's and doctoral levels at STEM graduate universities within the United States.

Sullivan added under President Joe Biden, the Quad partnership has been upgraded to exceptional heights and will only grow in the coming years. These 100 young people will bring the Quad closer together, and with them directing the way, we are confident our future is in the right hands.

The fellowship aims to develop a community of science and know-how professionals committed to promoting innovation and collaboration within the public, non-public, and tutorial sectors in their nations and amongst Quad international locations. The programme constructs foundational understanding amongst Quad fellows of each other’s communities and cultures through cohort-wide journeys and sturdy programming with every nation’s high scientists, technologists, and politicians.
