The registration date for the GATE 2021 has been extended by the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay and the rescheduled last date is October 07, 2020.

The candidates who are desirous to apply for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering 2021, have been given another opportunity to apply online for the test from the official website at gate.iitb.ac.in or appsgate.iitb.ac.in.

GATE 2021 is scheduled to be conducted from February 05 to 07, 2021 and from February 12 to 14, 2021 and the exam will be conducted over 06 days for 27 papers divided into sessions/ day.

The GATE, or Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering, is a qualifier exam to get admissions into Postgraduate and Research programmes. The candidates who seek for financial assistance for PG/ Doctorate can also apply for GATE to attain government scholarships under the admission criteria of the admitting institute. The scores are also required by some PSUs (Public Sector Undertakings) for recruitment.

The scores remain valid for 03 years from the announcement of the results.
