The Council for Indian School Certificate Examinations will not be setting the question papers for the lab-based practical exams of the upcoming ISC exams and will be set by the visiting examiner in consultation with the examination centre head or the concerned school's principal, as instructed by the Councils. Therefore, each school will have its own question paper for science subjects instead of a uniform question paper.

The Council also informed that all students will also not be appearing for the lab-based practicals for Physics, Biology and Chemistry at once but will be divided into batches and exams will be conducted in different slots with each session having different paper.

The Council has circulated these instructions to all the schools also notified that the changes have been incorporated to follow the COVID-19 distancing norms. The council will appoint external examiners who will visit schools before the exams to inspect the labs and subject the teachers to fix the students' numbers to be allowed in a particular slot.
