The JAC (Jharkhand Academic Council) has taken the decision to postpone the Board examinations for Class 10 and Class 12 for about 2 months. The examinations are now scheduled to be conducted from May 4 to May 21, as notified by the JAC officials. Earlier, the exams were scheduled to be conducted from March 09 to March 26 but the State Education and Literacy Department and the examinees demanded for the revision.

Arvind Prasad Singh, JAC Chairman, informed that the examination schedule has been revised and now, the exams will be conducted from May 04 to May 21. The examination will be conducted in two shifts where the class 10 examination will be conducted in the first shift and the class 12 examination in the second shift.

The officials also notified that the exam schedule will be released soon and these exams will be conducted keeping in mind the COVID safety guidelines. the practical examination will be conducted from April 06 and April 27, 2021.

Singh also mentioned that the syllabus has also been reduced by 40% and the teachers confirmed that the revised syllabus would be done by March 31. The decision to revise the exam dates has been taken to give preparation time to students.

JAC has also revised the question paper pattern this year as the objective type questions will be higher in number.
