The JAC (Jharkhand Academic Council) has released the schedule for the board examinations of Class 10 and Class 12 from March 09 to March 26, 2021, keeping in mind the COVID-19 guidelines. Arvind Prasad Singh, JAC Chairman, informed that the examinations will be conducted in two shifts i.e. the first shift for the Matriculation exam and the second shift for the Intermediate exam.

The JAC took the decision in a high-level meeting and also decided to conduct the exams for Class 08, Class 09, and Class 11 in April month. The chairman also informed that the detailed schedule will be devised in 1-2 days and will be released accordingly.

Mostly, the board examinations are conducted in February month but this year got extended due to the corona pandemic situation which has severely affected the education stream among various others.

The JAC has also revised the question papers for the board examinations due to the closure of schools for the most part last year due to the pandemic. The percentage of objective type questions would be 30% to 40% in a paper according to the subject, as per the statement released by the JAC Chairman.

The Jharkhand Govt. has granted permission for the reopening of schools from Dec 21, 2020, for Class 10 and Class 12.
